Please try not to triple post n such.......
I was gonna come to say support letters
Sometimes also you can go to smaller churches in your region
(typically you want to stay within the same denomination)
and go and explain in detail what ya'll plan to do
and they may give you some money......
just a suggestion...
cause they may not have a youth group like yours that does stuff like what you're doing

It doesn't matter how many it was....
It's still cheap
and could all be confined to one post.

Hope you're able to figure out some ways of fundraising
I'm probably going down to New Orleans to help in Febuary
which should be cool
I'm looking foward to the possiblility of going

back in 1994 I raised $2K by going to the VFW, Elks, Moose, Grange, and other service organizations to pay for a trip to the 1st Russian International Boysout Jamboree... it's easy... just ask and put to gether a presentation of what you will be doing and why it's important and when you get back do another one of what you did and why it was important. $250 an organization no problem... members pay dues and the organizations tend to sit on it

Do a bake sale. Seriously. You can ask people to contribute items to sell if you want more. My church has like maybe 300-325 people, and we did a bake sale last year, to raise money for our yearly missions trip. We did it 2 weeks in a row, and do you know how much we raised? $1400! I am dead serious. I think if I remember correctly, one thing that was really great was that we didn't put prices on them. We had a like suggested donation, but most people were really generous.

Well, to raise money for a charity at my school, I went out to a junk yard and picked up an old Cadillac. I removed all glass from the outside, and charged people five dollars to put on safety glasses and take a swing with a sledge hammer. The car was about $150, but after having one hundred people pay to take a swing, I raised a good bit.

We Called it "Whack a Cadiallac". We're probably gonna do it again this Spring at school. Probably be best to do it around Finals.
