Milton Friedman: 1912-2006

Wow. I don't know how I missed this.

Milton Friedman died November 16th.

(never had the chance to take a course with him, though)

I actually did catch this on CNN last week. While not everyone will agree with him, he was a genius.

I read "Free To Choose" a couple of months ago. Awesome book, although it was written almost 30 years ago, it is still relevant and probably will always be. Fascinating to see where we've improved and where we've gotten worse since the book was written. All in all, I believe we manage to "get it" in some areas of policy, and lose our grip altogether in others. Question: Where will we be in another 30 years?

My prediction: Canada II, only English-Spanish instead of English-French.
