| games: chance to win to the very last turn? What are some games where you have a chance to win up till the very last turn? I hate playing games where you know your going to lose long before you actually do, and you just have to sit there and keep playing even though it's obveous you've already lost. I just need some game ideas where you at least THINK you have a chance to win till the end.

Sorry!
With Sorry! the tables can turn VERY quickly...so even if you start out badly, the right cards can catch you up quickly. |

| There's a great game called Ticket To Ride that you generally don't know who is going to win until the very end, mostly because the bulk of the game points are awarded for secret "destinations" that players try to complete during the game. It also comes in a European and German map versions, which both add some cool new rules to the basic USA game. You should definitely get one of these three.
A fun dungeon-crawling game called Drakon has the interesting property of the game-winning gold coins switching hands so often in the game that you can never really predict who is going to win until just a few turns before they do so. It's a lot of fun.
By the same publisher as Drakon, there is a game called Through The Desert in which you are trying to create camel caravans across the desert gameboard. The thing is that there are so many ways to score that following any given scoring opportunity entails giving up other scoring opportunities to your opponents, so it's very difficult for any one player to fall terribly fall behind or for any one player to completely dominate the game.
I could list plenty more, but those three stand out as games that fit your question best.

| Some versions of gin-rummy have the winner lay all of his/her cards down the last turn to win. The player's don't know who is winning until the player lays down. |

| One game I've played, called "Dragon's Gold," I think, has you keep all of the treasure you win behind a screen, so while you can get an idea of what others have, you don't know for sure how you're doing.
Carcasonne is one where you're usually able to figure out roughly where you stand, but the drawing the right tile, or having an opponent who can't get a needed tile, can turn things around pretty quickly. |

Getting from level 9 to level 10 (i.e. winning) can be really hard sometimes...no matter how far you think you fall behind, you might be able to catch up quickly |

| Killer Bunnies is kinda random the way you win. As long as you have a carrot card at the end you have a chance to win. The winning carrot is randomly chosen. So you don't need to have a lot of skill to have fun. |

| Risk 2210 AD. Even if you're fairly behind, because the game only lasts five turns and the winner is determined by points as opposed to just world domination, playing the right cards and taking the last turn of the game could mean victory. Its truly anyone's game.
