You mean your acoustic? It depends on the acoustic, but yes, most people plug their acoustics into the board.

Well, it sure won't sound like a goose , but it'll sound better through the PA than through an electric guitar amp.

sure, if you are going to stand in one place and never move. for most acoustic guitarists, especially worship leaders, this simply isn't an option. I know when I'm tied to a mic, it drives me nuts.

I didn't think about that. If I ever play with an acoustic, I'm sitting on a stool with a mic, but I don't even own an acoustic, got no use for one. I was thinking in terms of quality, but how many audiophiles are gonna be sitting there saying 'this sounds like crap, it'd sound much better if it were mic'd?'

I personally don't mind being mic'd on acoustic. But since I'm usually singing while playing acoustic, I wouldn't be much of a mover, I guess.

I think it's personal preference. I couldn't stand having a mic right in front of my guitar, and even when I sing, I still move. I can't just sit still forever.
