I was afraid to mention this earlier, out of fear of offending you, but I used to have a giant "Vegetarian: n. An old Indian word for lousy hunter" sticker on my guitar case. I rather angered a group of sXe guys with it. It was rather entertaining.
My grandfather has a t-shirt with that on it.

If you really want the look of a guitar with stickers on it, at least go to GC and buy a beater guitar for $50, and put stickers on that. Under no other circumstances should you put stickers on a guitar. Yes, the look cool, but the minute that they start to peel off, they're no longer cool, and they leave a sticky mess behind.

I won't even put stickers on my case or my amp.

peeling can be prevented by lacquering the stickers on...of course, then your stickers are virtually permanent, so you better like it.

the one I did has sense been lacquered... so yeah it is permanent unless its sanded down to bare wood. (though on that thing, if you did peel the stickers you would need to before the lacquering)

I picked up a short-scale fretless bass that had stickers on it thinking, "that'll be easy to clean up"...until i found out that they were sealed on with lacquer or something similar.

Perfect! That's the solution.

Keep the stickers, and then over it, paint blood splatters that spell out "PETA: People Eating Tasty Animals" and "Kill It and Grill It" and "Beef: It's What's For Dinner". Then decoupage some family shots of you and your fam hunting or something. Also decoupage in the album cover of the Smith's Meat is Murder.

And then leave it that way.

That would perhaps be the coolest guitar motif you can imagine.

Also, the coup de grace: blood splatter in "www.PETAkillsanimals.com". They do, in fact. More than anybody else.

Ever heard of decoupage?

Well, that pretty much captures everything you've expressed in connection to this guitar.
