I have heard the B52 cabs though and don't think that it'll be that big of a deal.

| Ya I need to do my homework a little more but your right about the 112 and 212 difference. But as far as the rectifier is concerned how much of a difference does that make concerning the sound.

| So is there any tonal differences in the 112 and 212?

The 212 has more power in the power amp (4x6L6GC tubes vs. the 112's 2x6L6). Also, the reverb and effects loop in the 212 is tube driven. The 112 is SS driven (at least that's how the documentation reads).
Is this a significant difference in tone? I have no idea. Just don't get the 112 and expect it to just be a smaller version of the 212. Like I said earlier...it's a similar vein, but there are several physical differences between the two. |

| This is one of those stupid "what if" questions but if a 112 was out during the time you bought the 212 would you have still bought it or gone with the 112? Do you use the 212 ever at gigs or do you just play at home?
Ya believe me i'm taking notes because when this purchase happens I'm going to be knowledged on what I'm investing in.

| I don't plan to make this purchase til next summer, when bills aren't so bad so keep me updated if/when you gig and what its like on a stage. I know stages are different with each set-up but at least I'd have someones opinion on how it performed on stage. Thanks

| Remember that most amp line outs aren't designed for output to a PA, so consider something like a Digitech Bad Monkey pedal, or other cab modeler (I know Behringer makes a DI box with this feature) to put between your amp line out and the soundboard, so you compensate your tone for the fact that you're not using your own speakers. |

I don't know if its a cab modeler or what it its exactly called. But he told me. Because I brought him all the things I was hearing about line out and not using them. How do these cab modelers work?

| Most of the simpler analog cab modelers just employ some EQ'ing/tone shaping techniques (cutting the high end, and applying a hi/lo-pass filter, among some other tone shaping things). Digital modelers will digitally model a cabinet with digital sound processing (DSP). |
