| I got the ring! Hey guys,
I pondered over it for a while and decided to go with bluenile.com. Then I decided that yesterday would be the day. Narrowed down my selection and picked the ring. Should come in next Wednesday. Thanks for all your help!
It's a .43 Carat princess cut. G, VS1. I love it, and i know she will too! http://www.bluenile.com/design.asp?a...74&ring_size=7
I highly recommend bluenile. I had to call customer service to ask a few questions and they were really great! Would definately use them again!

| Your link doesn't work. Takes you to the design your own ring page with none of your ring info filled in. Congrats and good luck, by the way. Must be lighter on your feet without the extra grand in your pocket... ha

| Hmmm...I don't know where to get a better link. I'll work on that.
So i talked to the lady at Vulcan about the brick today (see my proposal idea post). She was really cool but it hit me as I drove in that i have NO IDEA what to put on the brick! I've been so busy planning and working out other stuff that I completely forgot about composing something for the brick! Here's some ideas I had, let me know what you think. I've got 6 lines w/ 20 blocks in each line.
1) "As I look into your eyes I see where beauty lies." Shauna Ballard, will you be my wife?
2) Shauna Ballard, You are my best friend and love of my life. Will you marrry me?
3) Shauna Ballard, I love you. You make me happpier than I ever thought possible. Will you be my wife?
4) Shauna Ballard, words cannot descibe the joy you have brought to my life. I love you. Will you be my wife?
#1 is from a song that I wrote for her a few months ago. What do you think? This will be on display in front of the monument pretty much forever. So i don't want to put something i'll later regret. Thoughts? Thanks!

This is Daniel Straight, by the way.

| I agree with Nomes, I like number 1. Because it comes from something you wrote for her, it adds an even more personalized touch. All of them are nice sentiments, but taking a line from a song written for her just adds an extra something to ithe deal.
Good luck with the proposal.

| I agree with Nomes and Rach--the song is the most personalized.

| Ok, thanks to the overwhelming response of people here and other people i've asked I went with the song! It says:
As I look into
your eyes I see
where beauty lies
Shauna Ballard,
Will you marry me?

It'll be here in a few weeks and I plan on proposing the first week of december! The ring gets here in 48 hours! Life is good! Life is good!

| 3 words. I HATE FED-EX. (well, if you count fed-ex as one word i guess...)
So, i'm sitting here in COMPLETE agony waiting for my ring to show up! It's been supposed to be here all day and i'm just going insane waiting for it! Hopefully it'll be here in the next hour or so before I have to go to work! Waiting sucks...bad...

| Woohoo! Got the ring! But now I have to wait another 3 weeks!
Guys, how were you feeling at this point? I've got a lot of mixed emotions (uncluding some that I really didn't expect). How'd everyone else feel?
