| Summer Camps! Hey, I've noticed a lot of people saying that they've worked at camps in the summer and stuff... And well, I was just wondering what camps people have worked at this summer and previous summers?
Well, I'm a counsellor at a camp called Mini-Yo-We, a counsellor at a camp called Circle Square Ranch, and I went to a camp called Graphite... I also worked at the day camp at my church!
So what did you guys do?

| I wasn't a counsler, but I went to Csehy Summer School of Music last summer. It was pretty cool...They emphasized using your musical talents to glorify God. I met some great ppl there from all over the place I was in the handbell choir, the reg. choir, and took piano lessons and theory classes...then the real fun came around free time, where we would just sit around and laugh for the entire time about--well, I don't remember--God is good, anyway...! :P |

| I've heard of Mini-yo-we, also, popular with the kids is Forest Cliff... I help at Barnabas Christian Camp... it's cool. It's actually only a weekend camp, though. Friday night till Sunday night. Which, I think has to do with the fact that there are no showers...

| well, i've always been a counsellor in our youth camp. I am always looking forward with this kind of youth activity because i feel relaxed in the sense that i have 1 week to forget the world and have a great focus to God as well as to myself. It's where i could appreciate friends and pray for them. I could also encourage newbies by the word of God since as a counsellor you need to be like their "spiritual mother".
It's a very worthwhile thing and a once in a lifetime stuff. A great experience!

| I worked on a christian houseboat camp, called Sonshine Ministries, last summer for three weeks (and if it be God's will, I will again this summer for six weeks). Its a six day houseboat trip where campers get to waterski, play in the water, study the bible, and spend lots of time with God. It really is a life changing experience... I cannot describe how it changed my life when I went on it as a camper a few years back! Its sooo great!

*Alison* | That is awesome! I am leading our HS group on a houseboat trip this summer. I have never heard of a camp that does this and it sounds very interesting. Could you tell us where this camp is located? Do they have a website? Thanks!

| I am a counselor at Camp Good News, with a bunch of little kids. It's great! I also have been to Kamp Kulaqua, and hope to go back, and will be a staff intern at CYIA Training this year after going for 5 years.

| For the past few years our youth group (my old youth group) went to a place in Denton, TX called Camp Copass. Last year I was on the Rec Team where we were in charge of games and our "teams". We pretty much did everything except serve food, preach and the music. Although, IAmCrossEyed and myself lead worship for our small groups at night.
Plus the past two years we have also gone to a camp called Frontliners. Probably the best experiences I have ever had. It is a program that moves from city to city. First year we went to Huntsville, Alabama and then this past year we went to Las Vegas (Henderson), Nevada. Ever morning we go to classes, and then in the after noon, for about 3-4 hours, we go door to door witnessing. Many many people got saved. Its a great week to "get out of your comfort zone". FRONTLINERS
