I'm starting a drama team at our youth group and we are looking for original skits that can be humuorous, serious, impact-ful, or whatever, that can go along with pretty much any theme. do you have any favourites from camp or retreats or anything that you think would be really great? we're about 4-8 ppl, and are looking for skits under 10 minutes.

I hope you haven't heard of these yet...

There is one where a blob is the main character and other shapes won't play with the blob because it can't be their shape, and then the heart comes and the blob can be a heart and all the other shapes can be, too.

Also, this is really general but you have characters who are playing or whatever and then they see the Devil and the characteristics of him like inpatience, anger, etc and it looks really good, but they go and all of a sudden they have these great big heavy bad things around their necks and can't get along, and then Jesus comes and transforms the bad stuff into good things like love and joy...I left a lot of it out but that's the basic idea.

Also, you can have somebody pray kinda halfheartedly and ask Jesus to be with them, and Jesus shows up at their door, and the person tries to watch TV and listen to music and realizes that some of that stuff isn't good to watch with Jesus, and then the person tries to go to a party but wants to hide from Jesus so they end up "nailing" him down and then they come back and see him...and then they repent and he comes down and forgives them.

Hope those help, I've done them and they seem to work really well. Of course, another good one is just re-enacting the crucifiction...if you do it right it can be really powerful, especially with good background music.

how about this one, you have a group of people who are at a retreat or something, and one of them is asked to pray ( in the mean time there is someone behind the group, one person is the inner mind of the person praying, the other one is God) have the person who is praying say really great things and periodically people in the group say "amen" or something like that. when that happens the inner mind says something like " wow listen to all those Amen's this is such an awesome prayer", or " wow 3 amens and I have barely gotten started , man am I good or what" then at the end have him say soemthing like," and God ...." (something that says God) and God says " oh I'm sorry , your talking to me, I thought that you were tlaking to them" something along those lines, we did it at camp and I liked it
