It might not be that awesome as you think, but you can pretend it is. You look English in your avatar to me...that is what made me interested in you. *rambles*
| Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not English
My Avatar is me in a costume from a play we did recently, so I was dressed up sort-of English/early 1900's. It might be misleading but it's the only good photo of myself (because I prefer to be on the other end of the picture taking ). | That is sweet. So you like acting then? You should share some photos' of what you take pictures of sometime.
Well you look very handsome and good looking. (That's why I was stalking you obviously ) [/jk] Quote: |

Welcome. | I have now updated my Avatar to a more recent picture (taken yesterday).
Yes, I love acting, but not just a hobby, nothing professional or anything like that.
You can check out the photos I have by clicking on the iStock Photo banner in my Signature. I've got about 50 of some of my better pictures on there.
I would have more, but I'm still on Dial-Up so it takes a while for me to upload pictures. |

Today I had my first real ski lesson (first one I'm getting paid for).
I had a kid from Texas who had only skied once in his life. It was quite interesting, I don't have enough time to describe it now. But I'll have a ton of stories this winter. I work all day tomorrow, but I'll post more Thursday. |

| Hi Wesley. I'm Patrick. Since Adri thought your blog was good enough to advertise, I figured I might as well check it out.
I liked your photos. They're pretty good. What camera gear do you use? I liked that high-aperture shot of that flower. Nicely done. Your horse pictures are good too. I enjoy action shots like that. I'm lucky to have access to two DSLR's from school. A Nikon D50 and D80. We recently bought a f/2.8 80-200mm lens for the D80. That's real fun to use for football pictures.
Anyway, nice to meet you. |

Anyway, nice to meet you. | Hey Patrick,
I've got a Canon 300D (Digital Rebel). I got it when they were new (a couple years ago). I've got a Sigma 28-300 zoom lens (very nice, I love the versatility) and a Canon 50mm 1.8 I should post some of my soccer pictures , I've got a ton.
Thanks for the Advertising Adri. I guess now I'll have to keep up with my blog
I've been working all week and am totally loving it.
I've tought so far:
2 9 yr. old boys, (Joshua & Matt)
a 2 yr old boy (Julio)
a 3 yr old girl (Kara)
a 4 yr old boy (Duncan)
a 6 yr old boy (Adam)
a 6 yr old girl (Jillian)
My favorite lessons so far have been Julio (my youngest lesson) and Jillian who was an awesome listener and a figure skater. I love working with these kids, I'm having a blast. I also made about $90 each of the last 2 days.
Right now the only snow is on the Ski Slope's here in Michigan. I don't work again untill Friday, so I've got some time off. Time to get cracking on some of this schoolwork that I need to finish before college next year.
I hope everyone had a great christmas...and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I'm looking forward to the NCAA Football BCS Bowls. Go Michigan! |

It seems to be about the equivalent to a D50. That Sigma zoom sounds nice. I have to switch between a 18-55 and a 70-300 with the D50 I have over the break. Check out the Photography Forum sometime. There are quite a few photographers on CGR. Quote:

| I'm going to NCMC (North Central Michigan College). It's about 35 miles from my house so I'll live at home and still be able to work at the same place. I'm going for an AAS in Early Childhood Education. It goes really well with my job because I'll need 3 credits of work based learning which I'll get from the job I already have. Quote: |

Now looking forward to OSU crushing Florida in the Championship on the 8th.
I just found out that the ski resort I work at was voted the best terrain park in North America! Nubs Nob rocks!
Believe it or not we're still open even though we have had no snow for over 3 weeks. So I still get to work tomorrow...YES!
3 Weeks untill the opening of our Dinner Theater, tickets go on sale today.
That means we have 8 practices left, including one today. I can't wait. |

| Hey Wesley, I didn't read all 5 pages to check if you wrote about it, but have you seen Facing the Giants? It is one of the best movies ever, even though the acting may be a little rough

| How did Practice go Wesley? Sorry I vanished! I do that sometimes!
How is work going? Any interesting things happen?
You should keep up with your blog regardless of visiters. *threatens with cutting board* As you know there are lurkers amongst us. |

Go Nubs Nob! I'll be going to Wintergreen, VA on a youth group ski trip in 2 weeks. They supposedly have one of the most advanced snow-making systems in the region, which is good since it's unseasonably warm in the Mid-Atlantic right now. Quote:

| Sorry, I've been REALLY busy. I haven't even checked my email the last 2 days. I'll try to keep it updated when I can.

| If you're going to VA pray for snow...don't count on snowmaking. We here a couple hundred miles North have the top snowmaking in the midwest. We barely have snow left. If it doesn't snow for a week we won't have any left.
That said, we're still open and I worked yesterday.
I've got to head off for Church, but I'll try and post more later today. |
