Usercomments disappearing?

My last usercomment disappeared of the face of the earth. I know for certain that it was there (it was one by Kato), now it is not. I don't really know how they can disappear like that. The ones before that one are all there as far as I know.

Was the post deleted? That happened to me the other day, my post was deleted and the UC disappeared.

In the past, if a post was deleted, the UC would stay with a dead link.

That post you deleted of mine in Computers the other day had a UC attached, and when it was deleted, the UC disappeared. I'm guessing it has something to do with the upgrade to 3.5 Mickey made. When he did that, the old user comment system was replaced by the rep system on VBulletin.

The old UC system was the rep system modified. It should be the same system, just updated. If that was an update they made, it is a doodie one.

That's exactly what I'm saying. The UC system was modified from the rep system. The current UC system is modified from the rep system. The difference is they were modified by two different people. Mickey could have modified it to keep deleted UC's where Lee and Juan's people may have not modified it that far.

OR as Axguitar said, it could be a new update from Vbulletin, but I don't remember reading anything about that at all when I read the update list.

Actually, it was Luke that modified the old one, I believe.

a lot of times when updates occur, your modifications are overwritten...

There's probably, by default, a query that deletes UCs when you delete a post. If Lee and Juan's tech guy will remove those queries, it shouldn't delete UCs anymore.

Almost all the files with modifications were overwritten during the 3.6 upgrade, which is why it had to be redone.

Yes, the post was deleted. This is indeed the problem. (lol, I don't even know why it was deleted, but such is general discussion's moderation of Jokes, even if they apply to the topic)
