| I talked to Jose about rebooting the server for you I got sick of the downtime today, so I talked to TMS. Jose looked into it and rebooted the server. I just wanted to let the admins know in case they were wondering about it. |

| All I know is that the server pretty much stopped responding. SSH, FTP, cPanel, and Apache were all down. I could still ping it though.
I've seen MySQL cause a server to hang, but that couldn't of been the problem here. CGR has a seperate database server. I don't know what it was, but I'm glad it's fixed. These things just happen every now and then. |

| Yeah. When I saw it go down, the first thing I tried was pinging it. I thought it was really weird that it would ping a response, but I couldn't browse it.
I thought it may have involved Lee and Juan moving stuff around (new server perhaps) and the DNS was still waiting to take effect. |

| Maybe you could ask Jose why he STOPPED RESPONDING TO MY IM's on Sunday when I was trying to fix this...
Grrrrrr...
Had him at the computer, he responded to me, I told him who I was and how I was affiliated with the site, told him the problem (including the IP of the server) and he ignores me the rest of the day. This was Sunday afternoon. So he knew about the problem long before yesterday and didn't do anything about it...

I don't know why he ignored you... It took him a few minutes to repond to my IM. |

Grrrrrr... | Due to the server load and a variety of factors, I will be looking in to moving CGR to a very high end server set up here in the next few weeks. I will keep you all posted on this as I learn more. I am 100% for keeping this site as fast and responsive as it can be! |

Woot woot for the new admins they rock.
They've done so much in the short time they've been with us. |

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. | |
