How to use Powertab?

I downloaded powertab librarian, but I have no clue what to do next. I tried clicking on the songs in some of the threads, but it just opens up the librarian and nothing else happens (the song I tried to open isn't there or anything). I would really like some help.

Thanks

try saving the file you are opening up to your computer. When 'librarian opens, go into the file menu, click open, and click the file you want to open. Maybe it will work that way. I know with some programs on my computer that's what you have to do. I don't know if 'librarian is like that though . hope this helps.

Question 1: Do you have Power Tab Editor installed?

Question 2: Have you tried right-clicking on the files you want to download and telling your computer to save them? If you don't do this, it's likely your computer is just saving the files to a temporary location.

when you download a song, open powertab and pull the icon in, or check the propertied of the icon, it might not be powertab and you might have to change the properties to powertab.

If you clicked the link, you would see that...

"Power Tab Editor is a tablature authoring tool for the Windows operating system. It is intended to be used to create guitar sheet music, more commonly known to musicians as guitar tablature and bass tablature. (aka guitar tab/bass tab). The program provides the most commonly used symbols in tablature, including chord names, chord diagrams, rhythm slashes, bends, slides, hammer-ons/pull-offs, harmonics and palm muting. A useful piece of software for people who want to learn how to play guitar, and for experienced guitarists who want to transcribe their own music and/or guitar lessons. The software can be used by both acoustic and electric guitar players alike."
