So, I found a roland sh-201...

for 400 bucks BRAND NEW!!! I put it on layaway.. i'm very excited, the analogue-coolness makes me drool... I played around with it first, i'm very excited... i have 60 days to pay it and my parents are gonna pay most of it for my christmas... soo... i'm excited...

well... i went and picked it up, had more money than i thought i had.. so i brought it home.. it's freaking sweet... i'm having so much fun.. i need to learn how to program it, but first i wanna backup all the ones that came with it... the ones already in the user databank are pretty cool...

Hey nate, (btw if you don't respond to this i'm gonna PM you about it.. assuming you haven't see this).. can i use a AX-1(or7) with this?

Does it have a MIDI IN?

Ooooh... I just checked it out on Roland's site. It looks very nice.

That seems like a perfect match for what you were looking for.

You should easily be able to use a MIDI controller with it if you like.

The external input thing is a nifty feature. So are dedicated knobs.

yeah, finding it for 400 when most places that aren't guitar center sell it for 750 and guitar center sells it for 595.... i think i got a great deal... i've been having a huge amount of fun with it... and i'm gonna get an AX-7 sometime when i get some extra cash... i gotta learn how to program it first though

wel... i figured out how to write patches to it, with some that i downloaded from the roland website... now i gotta figure out how to make my own sounds...
