We just never believed them when they talked about Santa. We somehow knew that they were the ones giving us the presents. My little cousin who is almost 9 still believes. My Aunt is really good with keeping the secret. If they are going to be somewhere other than their house on Christmas morning, my aunt tells my cousin that she's putting in a request to Santa to meet her wherever she'll be.

From the day i was born, i was smart enough to work out Santa was a farce.

After all, we have never ever had a chimney, bright red and white are the most impractical colors for someone trying to keep unseen, he was obese and someone who did that much exercise would never be that fat, all of those things and the fact the whole idea is just so stupid.

I remember in year 3, there was one girl in the class who still thought Santa was real, there were tears when everyone told her that he wasn't.

Talking

I remember being 6 or maybe 7 and hearing from other kids that Santa wasn't real and of course I didn't believe them so I asked my mom and she told me the truth.....I was devastated I know it must have impacted me greatly because I remember the day so vividly. So now that I'm married with 4 children of my own, my husband decided to tell them Santa Claus wasn't real (pretty much against my will) because he thought it took away from the true meaning of Christmas. I was angry with him at first but now that we've gone through another Christmas and my kids give thanks and praise to God for their presents, I don't regret that he did it. On the other hand my stubborn 4 year old must not even pay attention to her father about this matter because she still believes in Santa Claus....oh well

We never had Santa growing up. I remember with my little brother on Christmas Eve we get together for extended family and someone dresses up as Santa and does a gift give away for the kids. The first time that my brother was old enough for this he refused to go get his present. He cried. I think he was 1 or 2.

There's never been Santa, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to kill him for those who do still believe. I don't think though that I will teach my kids about Santa Claus in his current incarnation. I do like the Mtls historical figures (etc) idea. That I may adopt.

'Eh, I haven't exactly "grown up" yet , but we never really had a Santa. I'm not sure if my parents ever really tried it, but I know I never really believed in it. I think I liked to imagine it, but I knew it wasn't real somehow .

I gave presents from Samuel Adams, Wal-Mart and Sam Houston this (last?) year because of this post. "Rock on," as they say.

Our oldest has figured out the deal but he's keeping mum for his younger brother and sister.

Taylor got a gift from Sir Isaac Newton this year. Anyone want to take a guess at what was inside?

An apple?

And I really want to implement that idea when I start a family one day

Mltmom, you have inspired us. I think I will do that to!

my parents never taught us about Santa.. which is good, because I was very stuborn and if i believed in Santa.. i would have believed despite anyone telling me he wasn't real.. eventually even my parents wouldn't have been able to prove it to me
