| Got a new amp today, have a question about it I got this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...mbo?sku=487781
Used today in a lot of guitar stuff for $300. It had two 15w amps, a Pacifica, n Epiphone SG Special, and a few other less importnt things. Pretty good buy in my opinion. Anyway, on the back it says extension speaker, would I be able to send that to the board for my praise band?
Fast answers are appriciated as I'll have to leave soon. Thanks!

| I'm not sure, but it's meant for a speaker cab which wouldn't be the same loading as going into the PA. If I'm not mistaken the amp needs a certain amount of resistance (measured in ohms) from the speaker. If it doesn't get that loading I think it could be damaged. It doesn't have a "line out"? |

The problem is going to be that that would be an amplified signal going into the board. Its a recipe for disaster for the board to put a line that hot into it.

| Yes.
In essence, that output sends a certain wattage into whatever is plugged into it... so it'll blow the preamp on the board (and you're lucky if that's the only thing it blows). |

| Unfortunately, it has no line out, kinda(read: very) annoying. But oh well. It still sounds pretty good for bedroom playing and mic'ed.

| You can also try the FX send to a cab emulator. |

| does it have a headphone out? if so, you could use that as a line out. don't know how good it would, sound, but since we're talking about a crate...

| I've never been one to be bummed about not having a "line out" on a guitar amp for a mixer. Micing the amp almost always sounds better, if it can be managed (and it often can be). My amp (Mesa Studio .22) has a line out (the line out even has adjustable level), but I have never used it for a connection to the P.A. system in a performance. Anyway, I wouldn't be too bummed as long as you're able to mic the amp.

| Yeah, my Yamaha has a "slave out", as well, but presumably, it's for hooking into another amp, since it would sound horrible into a P.A.. |
