| True police story My sister Monica took driver's ed from a school taught by police officers. Apparently one day her class asked her instructor (steve) for stories about doing traffic patrol (catching speeders). He said it's the single dullest bit of work out there. However, he did have this story to relate:
One night he got the late night shift at the bottom of a hill where people normally speed quite a bit. However, this night was incredibly slow. There were hardly any cars, and those that did come down did the speed limit. Steve sat there for hours, and hours, with no one to pull over. Finally, at about 2:30 AM, a car came zooming down the hill. Steve, grateful for a break from the monotony, turned on the sirens, and pulled the guy over. He got out of his patrol car and went over to the speeder.
"You know, I"ve been waiting all night for you", Steve told the guy.
"I know", the guy replied, "So I came as fast as I could."
Steve let the guy go without a ticket.
