Anyone ever played this? Im thinking about getting one and want other opinions. Musiciansfriend.com gave it a 9 out of 10 over 11 reviews.

first off, this ought to be in amps.
second, it's a SS randall, they either are your thing, or they aren't. depends greatly on what type of music you play, and what type of tones you're looking for.

is this your first amp, or do you have any others?

also, i was looking at the reviews you mentioned, and it sounds like most of the people who reviewed it run pedal distortion instead of the amp's own distortion. and for a $500 SS amp, if it was me i'd insist it had a fantastic on-board distortion. at that price you could easily get yourself a good tube amp; heck, a little more cash and you might be able to snag something like a used peavey 5150 II. (yeah i'm partial to that amp) with those bands you're likely to want tube distortion at some point, and i'd advise waiting and getting a good amp.
