It's Election Day!

To those who actually come here and are from the USA, this is for you.

Today is election day in America. A simple statement to be sure, but one that goes mostly unheeded. It is a sad thing to hear so many complain about the state of our country but they do not vote. To you who complain but do not vote I say...have a big helping of SHUTUP! You have given up your hard fought and hard earned RIGHT to complain about the state of our union. Is this harsh? I think not. I say to all who read this today...

VOTE!

Although I do care how the course of this country will be affected by the vote today, I will not tell you who you should vote for. I will, however, say this, vote your values and what you believe God would have you vote for. You can and should try to make a difference in this world for God's Glory. The secularists and liberals of this country would have you believe you have no voice and should have no voice. I say they are WRONG! You have a voice and a right and obligation to let it be heard. That's it. Just vote. The more that vote, the less confusion we have about what we want here in America. Help this country find it's way. I hope you vote with me instead of against me, but your decision is between you and God. Vote once and once only, not early and often as some would have you do. Do not cheapen the great system we have by cheating at the ballot box as some have tried to do in NYC with people who are dead. Do not entice non-citizens to vote as some do in states with large populations of illegal immigrants. Keep the process pure and unblemished for all, so we have a clear direction to steer towards or fight against.

For those who are unsure who to vote for, ask yourself what you truly believe about the issues. Then find a voter guide online for your state's contests and get informed. There is still time to do these things. Don't be lazy and waste the lives of those who have fought for this country's freedoms.

Later days and God bless,

Ken

Poor LOST souls (possible spoilers).

Poor Jack...never saw it coming did he? As much as I like Kate, she really is kinda screwed up. I think she is going after the "bad boy" because she had the "good guy" and can't take the remembrance of what she did. I feel bad for them both, but not Sawyer. I wonder why? Maybe because his troubles are mostly things he has done to himself? Maybe we will find out later this season.

Back to Jack. Is he helping Juliet or is he really thinking what I was, that neither she or Ben can be trusted? Either way, Ben is kind of in a pickle. He lays unconscious on an operating table with a bleeding kidney sack and Jack is the only one who can fix him. Unbeknownst to him though is the fact that they are on a different island. What is wrong with that picture? Michael and Walt took their only boat that we know of, so there has to be some way of getting to one island from the other. The islands are too close together to not be one land mass connected somehow. Underwater tunnel perhaps? Either way, our friends are probalby screwed here. They will run for nothing and end up right where they are now.

I wonder if the BBCM will make an appearance on the new island. Now, that would be great to see. Living idyllically on our island in the middle of nowhere and here comes the Smog Monster! Control freaks running everywhere not knowing what to do. Or...they know exactly what to do and that is why BBCM doesn't come there.

Notice how they only sent the girl who slingshotted those guys back to her home? Why do they like to kill or beat up the guys? Does Pickett really dislike the competition that much? Talk about an insecure group of people..."See my gun? Now you just stand there and let me beat the snot out of you or you die!" And how many times can you have your rear kicked when you have the gun to begin with? These people are kinda clueless at times. I think the Losties are making them think too hard and that ticks them off.

What is up with Desmond and Locke? Now that Jack is gone, he is ready to be the leader? Definately different styles of leadership there. And what will set Desmond off on I think it was Charlie? Seeing the future must be a mindblower. Well enough for another week. Eko, we will miss you and your JESUS stick...

And remember, if you carry a compass, you won't become LOST.

LDGB,

Ken

Dude, do you want to know somethings about the next part of the season? Not actually know the specifics, but that some things will be addressed?

It was just an interview Damon and Carlton did. I actually posted in the LOST thread. I can repost it here if you like.

Sooooo, I am Vegas bound! That's right, heading to Sin City this coming Monday. Gonna be doing something unconventional too. I am taking my lovely wife, Dedra, with me. Got some training to do and then some sites to see in the evenings. That's right, the company I work for is paying for it all! Now, while I will not partake in most of the things in that city of ill repute, I will take in what I can, such as the Hart and Huntington Tattoo company. Gotta check out the work coming out of there. On Thursday, Dedra and I will take in the Blue Man Group at the Venetian Hotel as part of my convention. If anyone has any suggestions about decent things to do while in Vegas, let me know! I will check this entry until Monday before I leave.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We didn't have any turkey on turkeyday, but we were thankful to be all together. We will be remedying the no turkey thing next year. And salads, lots and lots of fruit salads.

Anyhow, LDGB,

Ken

hey, that's pretty cool about Vegas, man. I couldn't suggest anything to do, but I too would check out the Blue Man Group.

I hope you have a good time. And it's good to hear you had a good Thanksgiving.

Peace.

Okay, I got back today, after being in Las Vegas for the last week, at about midnight, then another hour to get home from the airport and to bed by 2 am. Then I had to get up at 6:30 to take my daughter to a dance clinic this morning. It is now 6:36 pm and I am running on 4 hours of sleep.
First off, Vegas was fun. I tried a couple of games of chance but nothing major. I found out what I have known all along, I am way too cheap to go to Vegas! Gambling is such a waste! I found out the true depravity of mankind as well. Every woman that works out there wears very little and that is a very hard temptation to fight for someone who struggles with pornography. While the Strip is colorful and bright, even in broad daylight, there are what I would say are illegal immigrants lining the streets trying to pass out tickets to smut shows, strip clubs, and whore houses.

Now having said that, there are some fun things to do. On Thursday night, as part of the training convention I went to, my wife and I saw The Blue Man Group. They are fantastic! They did a small tribute to rock by playing a small selection of songs in their "style". They played songs like "Whip It" by Devo on PVC pipe. Truly awesome! Someone in the audience, I think a plant, yelled out "Freebird!" and the back up band automatically started playing the Skynard classic. Then one of the Group held up a lighter and another put it out with a fire extinguisher! Hillarious!

We ate a great meal at an Irish pub with a live Irish band playing at the New York New York resort, then walked over to the MGM grand and took in the lavish interior there before heading back to the Treasure Island, where we were staying. We took pictures at Caesar's Palance and the Bellagio. We went shopping at The Alladin. We got an autographed ball cap from Dizzle, the shop apprentice at the H&H Tattoo Company for my daughter. She was very appreciative. All in all, with the training I received, and the taking in the sites, it was a very good trip. I don't think I will ever need to go there again, but it was fun.

I hope everyone had a great week while I was away.

LDGB,

Ken

THE CHIEFS MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!

I can't believe my Chiefs are in the playoffs!!! What a great ending to a lackluster year. Now if we can just break the playoff curse and beat the Colts to make it two playoff games! That would just be the end all be all! Go Chiefs!

BTW, odds were 76:1 that everything would go the way they needed them to.

Dude, exactly! Man, I'm so glad the Chiefs got in instead of the Broncos. I'm not much of a Mike Shanahan fan. Do you know if Trent Green will be okay for the game, or will Huard be starting? Either way they have a good chance of winning with Larry Johnson.

If the defense can stop Peyton from throwing and connecting we have a chance. I haven't heard anything about Trent yet, but I think Huard would do just as well. Besides, Huard throws to the guy I like to see catch the ball in double coverage, Tony Gonzalez! Best Tight End in the game! And I got a feeling LJ isn't gonna let up in this game. The Centaur will run all over the Colts!

Then again...maybe I am just trash talking...nah!

The Chefs Strike Again!

No, no that is not a misspelling of Chiefs. They sucked! The Centaur came in so lame he had to be put down. I am starting to think it may be time for them to put Mr. Green out to pasture as well. I love my team, but your offense shouldn't wait for the defense to break down after a key player gets injured to come out firing 3/4 of the pistons!

"Oh no! There goes the main defensive line guy! We better kick it up a notch!", said Trent Green.

"I think you're right." Coach Herm said. "On second thought, just stay in there Trent. We lucked out to begin with to get here."

Now some of you may be saying fairweather fan. Not true. I was saying they lucked out right after Denver lost. Oh well, it's just football and they are all overpaid anyway. Better luck someday.

LDGB,

Ken

Nah man, that's not fairweather fan. If it's still your team, you're allowed to get angry with them. If you dropped them for another team, though, then it's fairweather fan.

But man, it was amazing how bad the Chiefs' offense played. Ty Law gets a pick, takes it down to about the 5. The offense comes in, gets no yards, goes for the fieldgoal and misses it!

Ty was the only guy that seemed to be playing that day. But, one man does not a team make. Yeah, Tynes should be strung up for missing that field goal! I am kind of fed up with my Chefs right now. We'll see what changes get made and start the season fresh next year. Now I will go into sports hibernation until next year. Maybe take in a little K1 or Pride when it is on.
