That sight won't happen. In fact, if Jason keeps it up armed guards will be placed outside to keep him away. He's terrifying the future in-laws.

(This is Kati...I am too lazy to log out)

Picture:

That's just one my dad took..."official" ones are coming eventually. I'd post pics of the ring, but I don't have any on this computer.

History: Umm. We met on CGR years ago...2002ish. We started talking via instant messages all the time, then eventually arranged to meet in person. After visiting every couple of months for a while we decided to start dating/courting/sparking/whatever. That worked really well, so we figured the wedding thing could be cool.

He moved down here from four hours north a few months ago (he's living down the street from me now) and neither of us have really been on CGR much since...but we both still lurk around occasionally.

/Kati

Okay, so maybe I don't know either of you that well, but... I still feel like I can chime in because I saw Jeremiah spying on my xanga last yearishly. *wink*

Soooo... Congrajamalations, kiddos.

April 20? Good luck waiting that long. Art and I got engaged May 27 and decided to put the date at that time next year. Then we smartened up and figured out that we didn't wanna wait a whole year. *chuckle*

Yay for having someone else around here to discuss wedding dresses with. Have either of you thought out any planning stuffs yet, or are you still basking in the moment?

And... I really like that pic. You guys are cute. *cooes girlishly*

Am I allowed to post a picture of someone else's engagement ring? 'Cause if I am, then I'll post one, but I don't want to steal Kati's thunder.

Would have been fine for you to post it, but since I'm here and have them handy...ring pics.

Thanks for all the congratulations. Actually, the original plan was for late summer 2007, but the date just keeps creeping forward. He actually proposed last month (on my dad's birthday, no less), we've just now set a date. Our first choice for a reception ended up backing out, essentially, and we had to find another and work around when they were available.

We didn't get much basking in. I am bombarded with new planning issues daily. So far we've got the date, location and wedding party figured out/booked, the invitations ordered, the MoH's dress, and a good idea of the flowers (aunt's a florist). The reception hall provides a "cake allowance" to spend on the wedding cake, but I still have to get in touch with the bakery, and Jeremiah's aunt is doing the groom's cake. Um. I am sure there's more, but I haven't had nearly enough coffee this morning to go through all of it.

Anybody with reception music ideas is free to post 'em.

wow, Kati actually posted in her own engagement announcement thread, I am both thrilled and surprised I saw that picture earlier... but then I figured it was just a picture. Didn't notice which hand the ring was on So yeah, I guess Dana's expectations are met. Congratulations, Kati

EDIT: WHOA, more from Kati, yay! Very pretty ring.
