We went to a Zale's outlet and got a "pre-owned" ring. My wife picked it out and loves it. I think it retailed around $1300 and we got it for under $400. So if you're near any outlets, check them out. You can the same stuff they have at the retail stores for a fraction of the price and then take it to a retail store and have the warranty and protection plan put on it. Just a thought for the "not a lot of cash" people. (That's me too)

That's what really matters.

My boyfriend is actually a pawnbroker, and has informed me that when he proposes to me, it will definitely be a diamond from the pawn shop. You can get a beautiful stone for a great deal this way and at his pawn shop you can order a nice setting for it. Why pay all that extra money when you can get something just as good for much less. Use the extra money toward a really nice honeymoon or something.
And I don't see how your gf can be ok with ebay but not a pawnshop ring. What's the difference? they are both previously owned
