Dave Mustaine is a Christian.

James Hetfield is from a family that practiced Christian Science which is not to be confused with classic Christianity. He, based on all of the info that I've found, is an agnostic.

To my knowledge, he has converted to Christianity recently. People on the Metallica website and some friends of mine who love Metallica say so.

Lincoln Brewster has the most talent, but imo, he doesn't use it quite as much as he could.

Remember he was discovered as a secular guitarest by Steve Perry.

How about Randy Torres from Project 86 and Eric Weaver from 12 Stones

Randy comes up with the most unique riffs I have ever heard and Eric Weaver on the first 12 Stones album has some awesome guitar solos.

I agree with that, I liked him before Allies in Sweet Comfort Band too.

I still think PK is the answer to this thread, but it is a blessing to have all these very talented guitarist in Christian music.

Why are harder rock band guitarist always overlooked when it comes to being great guitarists? As I said in my earlier post Randy Torres and Eric Weaver have some of the greatest guitar riffs I have heard. I love listening to them. Randy's riffs are different that anything I have heard before, and Eric has a great skill to play solos. Do not over look a guitarist because the person plays in a harder rock band. I listen from hard rock to hardcore music because of the hard guitar riffs. From 12 Stones to Zao most have great guitar riffs.

The absolute best proffessing Christian guitarist out there is Scott Mellinger!

Just about everything he has written has been musical Gold.

Hands down, the best Christian guitarist come from Hillsong Church. Both Nigel Hendroff and Michael Guy Chislett (Hillsong United Youth) are some of the most outstanding guitarist I have ever heard and watched.

Hmm love Zao, but all i've heard scott play was easy stuff. He plays some good stuff though. But seriously Alex Kenis is an amazing guitarist! He plays guitar for Becoming The Archetype and Aletheian.
