| I just LLLLoooovvveee to collect PENS - they are a beauty to hold!!
My favourite is a red and blue pen (set) that interlock to a snap. The length is about 3.5" long and carry the name and symbol of a well known boating line (cannot name names - no ads). Many are different colours, shapes, lengths and feel. Once I had one in the shape of a feather - I felt like I was onscreen writing in the earlier years and signing documents into law! Another one I had was like an antenna - that make me felt like a teacher as I lenghty it and started pointing to a board or something, instead of writing. The crown of my collection is the Cross pen I still own.
I love ALL my PENS and have them on display in a glass vase.

Any other pen collectors around?

| Since starting this Thread a year and a half ago, I added to my collection. Because the shape was good, when the pen was offered in green, what a gold mine feeling came across my mind. But of course I feel the same way about all my pens - they are precious. So much so that those I use is just resorted to the 5-pack papermate.
Anymore pen collectors around?

| You should be German. The section of one of the local department stores here in Dortmund dedicated to pens is about the size of the produce section in Walmart. They have display cases and everything.

| Wow bobthecockroach, that would be a site to see since I love shopping in stationery stores. I can see myself spending lots of time there. How about you, do you shop there - and buy Pens?

| I use a pen I got from the Deutsche Post when I went there to mail a letter and realized I didn't have a pen to write the address. It's quite a nice pen. I would prefer black ink to blue, but... you can't win 'em all.

| Is it unusual looking? The shapes I have for some of mine are really a site to behold - yes, hold, not use.

| So we have the computers, do you use pens anymore? My handwriting can be a bit shakey but no way! Pens still win it for me - write with flareeeeeeeeeeee. Yeah.

| My handwriting has went down hill because of computers. I know type more than I write. In some ways it's easier though because I can type much faster than I write. Then you add the fact that sometimes my hand cramps from writing, so I prefer to type.
Pens are nice though.

| This week I saw pens in the dollar store shaped like aligators. I was tempting to buy, eventhough it would be in storage with the others. Really, I could not pull myself to have one of those at home - it looked real! And, suppose I want to take it to work to use for a day, one could think this person is psycho. Yikes!
