| "Patrick Goes to the Zoo" and more short stories Hey! I decided to start a blog. So here you are!
Let me fill you in on my life right now. Its summer, and I'm bored. I'm also getting ready to move into this new house. It's not really new, but you know what I mean. The closing date on the house is July 23rd. That's next Friday! (Yay!)
And next week is my youth group's missions week. Instead of going on a missions trip, we're doing missions projects in our city. The only thing I hate is having to wake up around 7 in the morning. I'll fill you in on that throughout the week.
Well, I'm out of stuff to say. So, bye for now. |

| Hi!!!
Welcome to the blogs! I'm Lauren. I can't wait until we move (of course, we have to finish remodeling this house, find a new house, etc.) ! Anyway, what kind of music do you like? What's your favorite band? Do you play an instrument? Well, I won't ask you any more right now.
Later.
Lauren

| Hey Everyone! It looks like my blog is losing popularity. (Not like it ever was popular.) So please post here.
And now I'll update you on my life. The missions week at my church is going well so far. My mission project is to do a Vacation Bible School for the kids at this place called the "Little Willie Center." I'm going to explain to you what the place is now.
OK, the Little Willie Center is located in the not so good side of Greenville. It started when this lady had a business, and she saw this little kid everyday roaming the streets. She found out that he was living with his mother who was a drug addict. The lady wanted to help him out, so she asked his mom if he could help her out during the day at the resteraunt, so that started the idea of the Little Willie Center. You could say it's kind of a free day-care for kids who don't have really good families and would otherwise have to stay at home in a relatively unsafe area. They get to be fed lunch, play games, and learn a little about God. The center has recieved numerous donations. There's even a 13 year old who volunteers to teach some younger kids during the summer and during the school year. It's been around for at least 10 years.
My group's mission project is to run a Vacation Bible School for them. So far the kids have absolutely loved it. They're so nice too. I'm really looking forward to this week. Also, pray that it will go well the rest of the week. Thanks!
In Christ,

| We just finished VBS at our church. It's always so much fun to be with the kids. It's awesome that you guys are doing it outside of a church. That place sounds really cool. We did wurk like that on a mission trip in South Carolina. We worked with kids in difficult situations. Like you said, the kids are always great. It's really hard to leave them.
Well, what else are you up to? Anything exciting going on? I'm bored out of my mind, so I hope you're having more fun than me. Well, I'll talk to you later.
Lauren

| Hey! Today something really awesome happened at my missions site. 3 kids accepted God into their lives, and 2 others were re-assured of their faith. I think that's awesome. How about you?

| That's totally awesome!! Little kids coming to know God is one of the best things you can ever witness.
I'm glad your VBS is going well. It's so awesome to see God work. I'll be praying for you and the group you're working with.

| Well, the missions week is over now and I really miss the kids. They all said that they had lots of fun this past week and they learned something too. My youth minister is going to focus this next year on more missions. He felt that our youth group hasen't been doing enough missions stuff the past year. He wants to have small one-day projects throughout the year. There's a good posibility that one some teacher workday, we can go visit the kids at the Little Willie Center and play with them. I hope we do. I feel really good knowing that 3 more kids came to know Christ this week. They weren't the only ones who learned something, I really learned alot too. I really haven't realized how lucky I am. There are so many people who wish they had stuff that I take for granted everyday. Some kids even spend the night there. I am so darn lucky to have the stuff I have. This missions week has opened my eyes to see that there are so many other people who are so much less fortunate than me. I have absolutely loved this past week.

| That is totally awesome! I'm so glad that the week went well. Mission projects are a ton of fun. My favorite has always been Creative Arts ministries. The church that I used to go to did a lot of those. Stuff like face painting, balloon animals, and bracelet making are things that the kids really loved. A lot of times, local festivals would let us set up and minister.
Well, I look forward to hearing about the exciting ways your group will minister. I'll keep praying for you guys!!

| You're 13! I thought you were older than that. Oh well, I guess I'm not as good at judging ages as I thought!
So, What's going on? Anything exciting? Just curious. I hope you're having an awesome weekend!
