Heres a sketch that I did today. If I was to pin down a style for my art, this cartoony kind of landscape sketch is what I "do" most.

The watercolour is nice, though there are some things in it I don't quite get what they are.

You have an exceptional cartooning skill. Your lines are very sharp and accurate. I tend to draw with a thousand lines representing one, and thus I appreciate such clean-cut work. Good job.

Hm...I believe it to be 2 stick figures in a snowglobe, and one sitting in a tree playing with a stick. Theres an anvil on top of the snoglobe, and a picinic set up to the right. (if thats what you mean)

Thanks for the compliment on cartooning. I draw my influences from a former teacher (and current advisor @ college) Colin Murasko, Dr. Suess, and general ideas of crazyness (ala Charlie and the Chocolate factory or Alice in Wonderland). I like my sketches to border surreal.

Now, I really wish that I could get portrait drawing down like you have! My problem (which has 'helped' my style), is that I'm not a very patient person. I dont like working on things for very long. I have to do my art in short spurts, or I get annoyed/bored with a project, and I just leave it half done.

We should combine our powers for good, and not evil...lol

Those are really great sketches! Do you have any with color in them?

Well...I just added color via photoshop. The fill tool takes away some of the line quality when it gets close to the edges of the lines, but heres what I've got. I'll leave it small (its only 150ish kb) for the dialup folks.

When I do this (its been a while) in color, I prefer to use oil pastels....But, I havent used them in quite a while. I should buy some cheapo ones, and do a full blown one.

Very crisp and cool, Jeff! You would be an excellent comic book artist.

I didn't really like anything from the first page, and, thus, haven't commented yet... but I love love love all the stuff you've posted on this second page (all this line-drawing stuff). Great stuff.
