Make Peace 1 Tim. 2:8, Matt. 5:23-24

1 Tim. 2:8 (TLB)

"So I want men everywhere to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from sin and anger and resentment."

1 Tim. 5:23-24

"So if you are standing before the altar in the Temple, offering a sacrifice to God, and remember that a friend has something against you, leave your sacrifice there beside the altar and go apologize and be reconciled to him, and thencome and offer your sacrifice to God."

Besides being displeasing to God, it is difficult tp pray when we have sinned or when we feel angry and resentful. That is why Jesus told us to interrupt worship, if necessary, to make peace with others.

In the Matthew passege it is our goal to have a right relationship with God and also with others, make peace.
