| An emo kid's perspective on a power outage... I just got off work and the power's out
I thought I paid my rent on time, I didn't cop out
So I talked to my land lord outside my door
He said some idiot must've hit a transformer
Alone
In the Dark
I sit
Even though
It's bright
Outside
I'm still throwing a girly fit
And I'll cry
My eyes
Wide apart
Only, electricity will mend this broken heart
3 hours rolled by slower than a snail covered in salt
No matter what I did, I couldn't help but to think it was my fault
"Oh God of Electricity" I prayed
"Turn the power back on and make my day"
Then the thunder rolled and the lightning crashed
Until I heard Jesus scream
"Stop praying to that phony or I'll kick your..."
Asprin is what I need for my throbbing head
I couldn't gone to bed
But it's almost to quiet to sleep
Alone
In the Dark
I sit
Even though
It's bright
Outside
I'm still throwing a girly fit
And I'll cry
My eyes
Wide apart
Only, electricity will mend this broken heart
I get bored easy, what can I say? Please take note of the awesome, although faint, harmonies |

| Yes. You must have been bored.
But it's very good, anyway. Brava!

| I tried to sound extra whiney, but I don't think I pulled it off well. I'm sure there will be more to follow this one |

What did you like best | It's best in its comedic value. Certainly not the most serious song you've written, and I do love your really good serious songs, but this one was just good. |

| Oh wonderful, I was hoping you'd find it quite amusing. I hope all find it quite amusing.
I would not compare this to a serious song, at all . That would be a silly thing to do. |

| I don't know if I should cry or laugh. I feel so...very....confused.
Okay not really.
Nice work again Jes.
Your b/g vocals, harmony, etc. is much improved on these last couple of songs compared to some of the earlier stuff I've heard from you.
So you see, these silly songs serve some other purposes too. They're good practice.
