That was last night, Donopotamus.

But thank you, regardless of how late/early you were.

Umm, I got like 27 compliments on my new hair from people in my classes. I was like WOW. I should change my hair color more often. Haha.

Anyways,
my writing professor told me she really likes my unit lesson plan. Which is good considering it's due on Thursday.

Look at that... Ohio and Hawaii were the only states that WERE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty content about that.

Still waiting for my bank to do something about my stolen debit card.

So... good day. Ohio State beat Michigan. For the 6th straight year!

I have all A's in my classes and only have three weeks left before Christmas Break!!!

Then over Christmas break I'll be studying for my Praxis Exam, which is so I can teach Language Arts to 4th-9th graders! I'm very nervous about this.

However, I am going to see Gavin DeGraw and Michelle Branch in concert on the 10th of January, the day after the test as a "celebration". I won't know if I passed until a month later. But I really need to pass the first time around because it is $140 every time to take it.

In other news, I have narrowed down my lists of states to teach in to

Colorado, Arizona, Washington, Oregon, California, and Texas. I'd like to teach in one of those states.

Colorado and Washington being my top choices.

I'm also saving money to take a cross country trip when I graduate, so I can visit those states and do interviews....

In other news, I've been listening to Christmas music all day while wrapping Christmas presents. But it's not annoying yet. Just busted out the choir music and let it permeate the air. It was fantastic.

I get to sleep in tomorrow, which is amazing. I plan on cleaning the apartment and just relaxing and maybe watching some movies in the afternoon time.

Life is pretty good right now. I have money, I have shelter, internet, cable tv, family and friends that love me, good grades, a car that is working finally, and not too much homework. Can't complain.

I cannot wait until this day is OVER.

I am on Thanksgiving break starting tomorrow. So that means making heavenly peanut butter pie for thanskgiving dinner on thursday, college and nfl football on thursday, setting the christmas tree up, watching christmas movies, listening to christmas music, making christmas cookies and EATING. LOTS AND LOTS OF EATING. Plus... I can actually somewhat relax because I don't really have a whole lot do school wise. I have a good handle on what I am doing for my next two big assignments which are due the first week of December and only need to put the final touches on them.

So I watched the Patriot on dvd the other night and I was doing some research on the Revolutionary War in textbooks and how many chapters are dedicated to that topic in 7th-8th grade textbooks. Anyways... I found a hilarious review of the Patriot from a British standpoint, written by someone in New Zealand. They basically made fun of Englad having a hissy fit about how poorly portrayed it was and they had a mean British guy who killed people during the war. (It's a war people! But I digress). They also went on to say that since Mel Gibson is Australian (or at least lived in Australia for many years with his Australian mother) that he should've at the least portrayed an Englishman in the war and painted the English in a more positive light, since Australia was claimed by Britain and was under British rules for centuries and is still ruled by Queen Elizabeth II. They also went on to complain about the Lion King having Scar have a British Accent, since Americans are outrightly casting aspersions on British people and the British accent. It was just rather funny to me. The funniest thing by far though was the little aside quote they put at the end of it when one of the studio executvies defended the movie and said,

"It's a movie that's meant to entertain. We love those Brits, but maybe they're still smarting from the outcome of that war."

I just find it rather humorous. Mainly I find it funny because I know quite a few British people that I keep in contact with still from when I worked with them at Cedar Point. They sometimes go off on venting and tangents about how Americans disrespect Great Britain and how we ruined "their language" with our horrible Americanized version. Having taken linguistics and having learned about the various forms of English, I just find it quite ridiculous that any group lays claim to owning a language.

Anyways... I need to get something to eat before I go to three back to back classes until 9 p.m.
