| So, here's the update: I bought a gibson G80 head on ebay that (I thought) had the part needed. It turns out the part is made by a different company, but still fits in the slot where the old part went. The head is in working condition and had a ton of power when I ran it through the super thor speakers. I now have two options: 1. I build a cabnet for the G80 head and use it to power the thing, or 2: see if the pre amp IC in the G80 will work in the super thor head.
My question is, does anyone know how I can cross reference the part to see if it can go in the super thor head without ruining it?
thanks in advance for all your help.

here's the pctures of the super thor head. I can also give you the numbers of the parts I need, although they probably won't help because gibson changed the parts they used almost monthly. Not to mention thier impossible to find anyway. | what part is it that you still need?

Also, he mentioned a "reset switch" earlier. He used a different IC in the place of the 7133A, and the "reset swtich" sparked. I'm guessing that it's just a fuse that needes to be replaced. this whole thread revolves around about $15 in parts. I don't know why the poster hasn't ordered the TI part from the online store.
EDIT: I think these amps actually had a built-in circuit breaker that would trip and you could reset (there's a reset button on the back of the G80 combo, sorta like an electrical wall socket with a built in mini-breaker), so he might not actually have to replace a fuse, just drop in the correct IC, hit reset, turn it on and start rockin'. |

I got them pretty cheap. If he doesn't like getting them online, I live next to an electronics store that rocks. Maybe our OP lives somewhat near one.
I guess our OP should buy the IC, fix the amp and be done with it.

| The reason I didn't buy that part from Mr. Sprokit is they have a minimum order price of $30. The Super Thor has the same exact reset switch as the G80. The part in the G80 has the number: M MC 1303L, then below it in bigger letters:7311.

| Ah...I didn't realize that.
I believe that the MC1303L is a different IC altogether, so the odds of it working probably aren't that good. of course, it is possible, but I wouldn't risk it. (that's just me...I don't know if trying that IC in place of the correct IC would do damage).
Something I might be able to do for you is check at my local electronics supplier for it. If the price is reasonable, I'd be willing to purchase it and send it to you at cost. (that is, I'd be paying for it in your place. I'd expect you to pay me exact cost + shipping). I've been needing to head over there to get a replacement pre-amp for my Crate GFX-15 if the price is right. If I can't do it, maybe BSPE or another forum member who does alot of electronics stuff can. |

| I just sent a P.M. to BSPE asking him to check, but if you could that would be great. I'd be willing to pay up to $5 or $10 for it(You guys are doing me a big favor with this, thanks a lot), I don't have many electronic stores near me and none of them have it. Shipping shouldn't be too much, but If you could package it carefully I'd be glad to cover the costs.
