| Squeaky Pedals: A thread for PODXTL users So it turns out that Jon of all people got a PODXtl. I thought we should have a thread for discussion of the thing since we have a good number of people who own them now. Likes, dislikes, upgrade packs, recordings, questions, etc.
Though I'm particularly interested in hearing Rainer's impression... .

| Wait 'til the new-toy syndrome fades off. :P
Try uploading your patches, folks! Hmmm doesn't work.. we'll need to try a workaround, zip them, maybe? Does it work for you guys?

| can't test your patches out because all of my 1/4" cords are at my bassist's house right now but what you could do is simply rename the extension to one that is accepted like .bmp or .mp3 and then when someone downloads them, just name it to the correct extension.
Have you dled any of the expansion packs yet?

| I don't believe I have. I haven't downloaded much of anything except the stuff I needed to get Line 6 Edit to work. |

| So ignore the other .zip I uploaded, that was a test. I've tweaked thoe patches to more exacting standards now, and here is my first 16 pack of patches I'll share with y'all.
No "original" tones, just copying some artists in this pack:
( ) 4: This is the tone from the fourth track off Sigur Ros' ( ) .
Autumn Walker: This tone is based off the sounds used on Jets To Brazil's album Perfecting Loneliness.
Best Of You: The Foo Fighters single.
Brooks: This is based on the tone that my bandmate, Brooks, uses. He's not famous, but it's a nice vintagey sound.
Glosoli: The sound that just pounds on you during the climax of Sigur Ros's "Glosoli", off Takk...
Like A Stone: The solo from Audioslave's "Like A Stone".
Metheny: Roll off your tone knobs on your jazzbox and use your neck+bridge, and you got instant Metheny. I made this one with my hollowbody. It's a nice clean even if you don't play jazz fusion.
Orange Rhyming Dictionary: The tone from older Jets To Brazil songs, with that hard square tremolo from the namesake song.
Paper Tigers: Thrice's The Artist In The Ambulance.
Paris In Flames: Thursday's Full Collapse.
Room On Fire: The Strokes' "Reptilia".
Rusty: Jackson Mould's tone while he was with Slick Shoes.
Satellite: P.O.D.'s Satellite.
Winners Never Quit: David Bazan's tone from Achille's Heel (ok, so "Wimmers Never Quit" isn't on that album... it's a cool name).
X+Y: You should be able to play a lot of Coldplay's X&Y on this patch.
Yellow: The tone was tuned for Coldplay's "Yellow", but turn on the delay, and you also got "High Speed" and "Don't Panic"... among others. |

| I think it is more of a computer issue. I am still working on it, and I can't seem to get it to work...

| Have you installed all the requisite programs like Edit and Monkey? I may not be remembering right, but I think they were required for it to work.

| The only thing Edit does is give you an interface to edit patches on your Line6 product. |
