Our Youth formal/breakup is on saturday. So I got's to go buy me some material to sew a new top thing for my dress. I'm a bit creative when it comes to sewing.

But I'm a bit annoyed coz the breakup for youth for the yeah means I will have nothing to do on a saturday night! OH DEAR!! And I won't see people for AGES!! Like FOREVER! For a few months anyway. Although I'll see some at church, but some just don't come to church! Hmmm

Formals are good. Everyone comes looking so darn spunky! All these people that run around in shorts or jeans and t-shirts all year, and then they show up in all their finery!

what did u guys do there? lyk my youth is still pretty traditional over dancing and stuff - i want to have a formal though!

We didn't dance! Well we boogied, but we didn't dance in the dancing guy/girl sorta way! My church is the same about dancing!

IT was awesome fun!

We all showed up in our spunky spunky dresses and suits and stuff, then we piled onto a double decker bus for a cruise through town the the lookout in the middle of town for bread and dips and stuff, then back on the bus. Then we ended up at the lake where we were served our main meal. Outdoors, right there next to the water!
Then we jumped on a tram and went to a park rotunder for dessert before hopping on another bus out to someones house. They formed a band and were playing all sorts of songs and silly songs they'd made up that afternoon. We boogied and moshed sorta (which was quite a sight in formalwear)

The only drawback was that it was a little bit chilly. BUt it was an awesome night!
