what type of internet connection do you have? if you have broadband, then what type? DSL, cable, T1?

we have broadband cable

I have dial up. I wish I had brodband, because dial up is slower than snail poo.

Broadband. Actually, I've never even had dial-up, so I don't think I could ever have anything else.

Adelphia cable sucks, though. It's the SLOWEST broadband I've ever had.

I used to have dial up. For around 13-14 years of my young life, I had dial up. I have pitty on dial up users, and yes, it should be illegal, and free broadband for the dialup users.

I have broadband. Cox Cable made a new "Value Package" that's only $24.99 a month for a 256/256Kbps connection. We were using Earthlink for about $21.99 a month. It would only cost $2 more a month to upgrade to a 5-10x faster connection. I had dialup until last March.

DSL right now. Had cable for the last 5 years - switched because of price.

Before that I had dial up for 17 years. The good old days of 2400 baud connected to my local BBS. Those where the days

I've got dial-up.. and I agree it is slow... I hate it but it costs too much for dsl or any kind of stuff like that.. we've checked into it all..

Which is ironic, because around here, it's the fastest I've seen so far.

Mine's usually at 42.5K.. but sometimes it'll just decide to be at 48K...

I don't know anybody that's had DSL in my area, so I can't comment, but when I had Comcast cable, I would usually get at least 3 megabits/sec download rate according to www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest

With Adelphia, I VERY RARELY see 1 Mb/sec, usually considerably less than that, which kinda ticks me off, since I'm paying for the 4Mb connection. I realize I won't get all that bandwidth usually, but at least HALF would be nice.
