| I'll be back on Purdue's network Friday... which is uber-fast. I hear there will be a 5 GB/day download/upload limit this year instead of the 3GB/day from last year.
We recently ditched dialup and upgraded to a 30KB/s (not Kb/s) connection wireless setup. It's better than dialup... not blazing though.

| I have broadband, and I am using a DirecWay sat. It isn't as good as DSL, cable or anything else. Just a step above dial-up.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. | |

| Broadband, cable, w00t. I love it.
I used to have dial-up for a few years, so I can take pity on any dial-up users here... Just imagining how we had to split the connection between two computers (And we GAMED on it... Eek) makes me shudder... |

Then we got cable internet, and life was good.
Although it seems slower now than when we first got set up... I suppose that may be because I've gotten used to the speed, whereas at first it was a noticable improvement over dial-up. |

| I am currently on a 5MB Cable line. It always runs very close to its advertised speed. It was only 2MB when I moved here. Before that, it was dial up. 9 long years of dial up. |

| After you have dialup for a while, broadband is like heaven-on-a-network-cable. |

| We have Cable here. However with the sign up bonuses the DSL company is offering (Ipods to new pcs!) I may just have to switch. |

| DSL. Had dial-up for about five years, switched just about a month or two before we got our new computer, when it became available to our area.
