I didn't notice delay on the list of features, but if you used it, then it must have it.

He could be talking about a Palomino tube amp. That's not a bad amp is it? Seems like some people like them.

You'd have to be dang lucky to score a 15W Palomino or other VC series Crate for $100.

Just to clear up some earlier misinformation regarding the Spider II amp, the 112 combo features the following:

75-watts mono
Custom Celestion® 12-inch Speaker
12 amp models that deliver a complete range from Clean to Insane
7 Smart Control effects (up to 3 simultaneous) including Tape Echo, standard Delay, Sweep Echo (all w/Tap Tempo), Chorus/Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo and Reverb
4 User-programmable channels
Built-in front panel Tuner

The recent price drop to $199 makes this amp one of the best deals out there, imho, and it offers the buyer the chance to pick up the FBV Express controller for $100 and pay as much as I did just for the amp ($299).

Buying a Line6 amp without a foot controller of some sort is a complete waste if you're intending on using it in a live situation.
Further, buying one of the smaller Spider II amps for live use is possibly a waste as they all have less features and other internal limitations and those related to foot controller use that put them several steps below the 112.

The Spider II is not the be all end all of guitar amps but it is a low cost and somewhat versatile combo.
The XT Live has the same sounds as the Spider II/Flextone III/Vetta II/PODxt. They're all derived from the same "engine" but those other amps have more versatility in accessing those sounds, combining those sounds and in I/O possibilities.
They also cost more, naturally.
