Petrol Prices

With rising petrol prices i thought we should have a thread where we can complain about how much we have to pay for petrol.

So anyway what gets me is that in the ACT just about every petrol place is very similar at the moment i think about $1.40ish per litre.

If i drive for 15 minutes to Queanbeyan (NSW), it is often 5 or 6 cents cheaper a litre. I have no idea why.

What does petrol cost at the moment where you are?
Do you use the woolies or coles vouchers?

In the Poconos it is $2,95 to $3.03. In the Allentown area it is lower, between $2.80 and $2.90.

In Auckland, NZ we are paying 176.9 per liter but it was 179.9 just the other day! I think to fill up it cost me $60- $70! I hate it that it's so expensive!

Being from the U.S., I'm just wondering what monetary unit you are talking about when you say it costs in the 100's to fill up?

I recently had to go 8 days without my car (thanks to a lovely kangaroo) and i had never realised how much i would miss it. It was really irritating not being able to drive where i wanted, when i wanted - made me realise how dependant i was on it.

I did at the time say to my Fiancee that the one good thing of not having the car was that we were saving on petrol...i was trying to forget the insurance excess i had to pay could fill my car with petrol for months.

Fuel is about 135 for unleaded, and 145 for diesel. This sucks, because our main car is a fuel guzzling diesel ute. I heard a news story that fuel would be getting up to around 180 soon.

Yeah it doesn't suprise me at all to hear that.

Do you reckon your family would be interested in the LPG conversion rebate?

Probably not. You know, once that comes in to effect, gas prices are going to go through the roof. You can't win.
