...its here

I just finished layaway on my Fender Hotrod DeVille. I... I am in love. There's just... just... no way to describe it at all. I love it so much.

Okay, I'm done with the obligatory "its awesome and I love it" statements. I'll let my ears get back to ringing now.

I know how it feels to bring a tube amp home and be completely and totally happy with it. It feels great, doesnt it? Congrats.

Sure, if you can manage to pry it from my cold, dead hands.

I don't know if I could ever go back to SS now (Unless I'm recording or something.. I hear that Vetta II is good for that). The tone is simply warm buttery goodness.

Tubes really DO glow blue. Its... nifty.

If you can't tell, I'm very very happy.

I can arrange that (the cold dead part, someone else will do the prying ).

Im glad you got your amp, finally. Now turn it down lest you wake the neighbors and upset the grown up folk in the other room.

I am now quite confused... What does FREAKI LEGIT mean?

For recording, I think I might want to try one of those Line 6 Vettas down the line. I had checked them out (they were on my list of amps I might but), and I think it would be awesome to have access to any sound I want easily... get some different sounds going on recordings, and not have to worry about things like attenuation in the studio.

I'm quite happy with this Hotrod, though. Best purchase I ever made.

It is the black version. Black owns. It is a rockstar requirement to have black. Roflcopter.

Seriously though. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow when I'll actually be using it onstage. Yes. Live action shots. Tee. Hee. Hee.

You got an extension cab with your Deluxe, right? How much did that thing cost you?

The thing weighs 53.5 lbs. I'm not the strongest person in the world, so to me, that's nearly a metric ton. Okay, not that much, but it is at least as heavy as a tuba in a flight case, and those are fairly heavy. Anyone got any ideas on how to construct a little wooden platform with casters so I can wheel it around?

Mine's 62lbs. I am definently not as strong as you. Suck it up.

There are companies that make such things. I've seen them, but don't have a link.

Well, My extension cab came with the amp. The guy I bought the set from has a friend who builds amps and cabs and such, so he got it from him...the only thing is that the extension cab is covered in carpet, not tolex, but its still sweet.
