| Something really sad happened. Pray for all of us affected by this tragedy. Just on last Monday a Russian soldier who was fighint in Iraq returned home to find that his wife, and their 2 kids, and his sister in law were all murdered and had their home torched as a way to cover up the crime. Their names are Olga Milkin who was the wife of Sgt. Leonid Milkin, her sister Lyuba Botvina, and Olga's 2 young boys Justin and Andrew Milkin who were only 6 and 3 years old.
This has come really as a shock to me and my family considering the fact that we know Leonid Milkins family and have heard so many good things about them. This family were hard-core believers in God and loved the Lord w/ all their hearts. I even heard that many found God through this family too. Words just cannot describe what all their relatives and friends are feeling right now and even my own family who were not at all close to this specific family who was murdered but were close to Leonid's side of the family. It still hurts all of us either way just to know that somebody would do something this horrific.
So please keep the Milkin family in your prayers. The man that did this was their next door neighbor who is now arrested on aggrivated murder and arson and is set at over $4,000.00 on bail. Please keep the father of this family more heavily in your prayers because now he litterely has NOTHING. The Millitary and the Red Cross are currently helping him out w/ the funeral costs and are putting up their grief counselors to help him too. Me and my mom were listending to the radio news a few days ago were we found out that this happened to one of the Milkin's family and even I was like "OH MY GOSH! MOM WE KNOW THESE PEOPLE!!!" so its hitting us pretty bad here too although we were never all too close. We also have some close family friends who live just a few blocks from where this happened and they are more affected by this tragedy than we are. I'm at this point where I just don't know how God is going to use me to be the comfort to all those affected by this tragedy because I know most of the people that knew this family too.
This is just all too sad and tragic so please keep all of us who are affected by this tragey, the family, relatives, and friends in your prayers please. You can check out the memorial page on myspace.com/kirklandfirevictims

When I hear such questions, it always makes me think of the Rabbi who was once asked how it could be that God oftend showed Himself to people in the olden days while nowadays nobody ever see's HIm.
The Rabbi replied: "Nowadays there is no longer anybody who can bow low enough."

| Gosh, I will keep them in my prayers. What could possibly have motivated that man to do such a thing?? Best of luck, I hope you don't get overwhelmed by anything

I don't know. All I learned today is that vengence (sp) is not mine but the Lords. And I learned that after having to read what one of Conner Schierman's (thats the name of the accused suspect) buddies put in the comment section of his myspace profile. And I guess she made a lot of sense that its true, I have no right to judge and lash out in anger. I talked this over w/ my mom today when I was helping her out at work about how so many times God tends to take harsh measure's to save somebody from going to hell. I can only hope and pray that if Conner is going to get sentenced for a few years or maybe if he even gets life or even the death penelty because 2 kids were murdered, I just hope that he finds the Lord. I might have a hard time forgiving him but I know that my God is a loving and forgiving God, He even took one of the worst murderer's w/ Him to heaven at Calvery. So I know that if Conner repents, even though if he gets sentenced to death, I know that God will forgive him. The choice is up to him to make though.
In the mean time I do have to say that he did the right thing by stepping up to the plate and being man enough by taking responsibility for what he did to this family by admitting that he murdered them and torched their home. Its a hard thing to do, to step up like that and tell the cops the full blown truth, so at least for that, I'm actually happy that he told the full truth, it shows how guilty he must be feeling for what he did. Not that guilt is a bad thing but it might be a step for him to repent, who knows right? I know that it must seem like I'm feeling all sorry for the suspect and in som way I do because I know what its like to have a family member murdered myself, my uncle was murdered almost 12 years ago, but w/ this I learned that I can trying winning the battle by taking out in revenge towards Conner or I can start praying for him. He already knows that he is facing Justice and thats whats supposed to happen to him and all that stuff. But I do gotta say that he is very brave for just telling the truth and just that alone shun some kind of light on the family and relatives and friends of the Milkin family.
We still dont know what the motive was, except for what Conner testified at the court here that he had an alcaholic black-out and then started to kill the family during the black out. But what motivated him to get that badly drunk? we don't know. According to this guys blogs on his myspace account it sounds like he had it really tough when he was growing up and was seeking ways to escape his own personal tragedies.
I am mad at some point, for the deaths and all that stuff but what now keeps me going is that I have a choice to make, I can ditch God by taking out in full revenge or I can let God use me to comfort hearts espeically Conner's family, there's a heavy dose of not just embarrassment on them but the possibility that their son might be sent to death row for t his crime. On the suspects side, all anyone can ever do is just pray at this moment for God's righteous justice to be brought upon him and His will be done as well.

| Well they just had the memorial service last Sunday at the City Church here in the Kirkland area. It was the most biggest memorial service I've ever been to in my life. That place was JAMMED. The murder on the other hand might possibly face the death penelty if its decided that he should. Other than that if he doesnt get the D.P. then he gets life in prison. Pray for the families as they are also to decide on the D.P. because the prosecutters are doing this more upon the families request.
