I speak Hebrew, it's my second language.
I learned it in less than a year.
But my mom for example still can't speak it right, although we live in Israel for 8 years now.
but yea, what intentions would you place with greek v hebrew?
Are you talking about modern Greek and Hebrew, or ancient Greek and Hebrew? If you're learning ancient Greek or Hebrew, the only useful purpose I can think of is to read ancient writings.

at the time I posted that, I was taking Biblical Hebrew.... This semester however, I'm taking modern Hebrew...it shall be interesting to see the difference.
I've heard that ancient and modern Hebrew are quite different... so much so that some linguists place them in completely different language families.
