Hot Dog Eating Championship

I don't know if it was a re-run but I saw it today on ESPN. It was insane...
Did anyone else see it?

Poker is on ESPN, that doesn't make it a sport.

It's a sport in my opinion.

Many men can run a 40 in under 4.9

but only one man can eat over 53 hot dogs in 12 minutes.

My favorite recent quote on CGR:

"Bono is so full of himself that it hurts. Every time I read one of his quotes, it makes me want to puke on his face. It was a good quote, but it is made bad by the fact that he is more self-righteous than George Clooney.
- Art

I am slowly re-assimilating back into the CGR.

It doesn't matter how fast you do it, it's the fact of. Like, if eat a hotdog does that make it a sport?

ESPN (formerly an initialism for the Entertainment and Sports Programming Network). Maybe not a sport to some, but certainly entertaining. While, there's a lot of training, discipline and hard work, the same could be said of anything worth pursuing. My vote is for entertainment - but, it was fun to watch.

I actually, as sad as it is, saw some thing where that Japanese guy tryed to beat a bear at eating hotdogs. Suffice it to say, he didn't stand a chance.

Hah, he is a beast. He is in very good shape. I suppose one would need to be. You have to be fearless to be a professional eater. One of the guys that was competing specialized in jalapeno peppers.

How is it not a sport? It is a competetive, physically demanding activity that requires a combination of training and natural talent to succeed. How would you define "sport"?
