| Huh. Not going to that store to buy! A while back, I posted about my playing of the Kustom '72 Coupe (Very purdy sound ). Anywho, the price there was about $1,050. Recently, I decided to look online for better prices, and lo and behold! I was surprised to find it about $200 less than at the store... Why is this the case? I thought they were up on par with eachother at least somewhat, especially as there don't seem to be many Kustom dealers. I also found the amp on 123music.com for like, $865 or something. It was pretty wild. |

| Online sellers typically sell for less as they are volume sellers. I bet that had you done some research and told your store what they are selling on the Internet for, they would likely have come down on the price for you. I have found the Internet is a great help in getting a good price. So that next time you make a purchase, big or small. |

Always find what you want by playing it, then buy it for cheaper on the internet |

| Or, give them the chance to make a better deal. I have a rule, I never pay MSRP or list price or even the quoted price, no matter who I'm dealing with. Always factor in sales tax and/or shipping in your getting the best deal. |

Other stores throw the list price on the sticker and wait for you to ask them about it...they'll usually drop the price significantly once you play the internet/GC card. Some places are just waiting for you to ask though.
I went to a store the other day where they had this bass, but the price was unmarked. I asked the guy and he says, "it's $545...but I'll give it to you for $500". I didn't even ask for the discount, he just offered it to me. |

However, I may ask them about how low they'd go if I can save that much up or something . Or, who knows, I could find another amp that's cheaper that I prefer... Ha, the world of amps is way too big. |

| kustom's to me aren't worth the price tag, HOWEVER they do have some nice sounding amps... but the thing is that some of these local shops can't afford to sell them as cheap as MF or M123, but also a friend of mine bought a marshall fom MF and it had a problem and he called marshall about it and said they don't warranty amps from MF that he'd have to call MF about it and that they would have to warranty it because it's probably refurb..

| You can use the internet as a tool for getting prices down, but the real key is to find someone at the store and get to know them, lol. One guy at my local music store gives me something for free almost every time i go in there, but that could be b/c i've probably sent him on a few vacations with my purchases there.

| My local store knows what's up as they'll regularly check on the MF website to see what they're selling an item for and then match it or beat it. |
