| I also have the Vox valvetronix 30 watt. If you are into distortion/overdrive, it has some of the best modeling I have ever heard. The cleans are ok, but nothing special. I fully recomend it to you.

Ummmm...yeah. So anyways, It hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread, but buying used can get you awesome equipment for the same price you would have payed for decent equipment. Granted, you have to be careful, but it pays off if you are careful and score a deal.

| You can;t get a good marshal for $300. Those are solid state ones. There are alot better alternatives.

| This question comes up from time to time on the Harmony Central boards. The amps most often recommended are the Vox Valvetronix AD30VT and the Roland Cube 30. Both of these amps cost between $200 and $300 brand new and will give you a wide variety of sounds. You might also want to look into the 30 watt Tech 21 amp. |

| another vote for the cube 30, a good, solid amp. YOu might also want to look into the Line6 spiderII series. Those amps are very nice as well

I, myself, own the AD50VT. The cleans are good, but not the preset cleans...adjust them and it'll be great! I agree though, eBay is the way to go as long as you have tried the amp out somewhere else. |
