| ok heres sumthin i'm doin for english and i don't think its very good but anywho tell me what you think. English Essay: There are many youth in the world that have not heard of Christ’s love. It is our job as Christians to take the message to the world. Some people like to wait for the world to come to them but, let’s face it, that hardly ever happens! Working in youth evangelism is awesome because, the sooner the youth learn, the more what we teach them sticks for the rest of their lives. At times it can be a challenging work because of teenage rebellion and their longing to be independent but we can work through the challenges. Not all youth react in the same way so it is neat to figure out how each personality reacts. As you’re testing to see what fires them up you get to build a relationship with them and they become more open with you. If you’ve ever participated in any type of youth evangelism such as Pathfinders or a Youth Evangelism Leadership Team you know that it has its rewards. Many youth are just looking for someone to look up to and if you’re willing to be their role model you can gain tons of cool friends. When you lead them to a better way of living their lives, they will grow to respect you and listen to the advice that is offered to them. The ultimate reward, however, is when they decide to give their life to Christ because you know you’ll have another great friend in heaven! The mission of a Christian youth leader is to bring youth to Christ and help them stay rooted in his love. It is also, like I said, to gain new friends along the way. Another great thing about being a youth leader is that it allows you to have fun and be yourself. There are times when seriousness has its place but most of the time its fun and games andawesome community building. Some youth don’t come form good homes and when they come to youth events, they at least get knowledge that will hopefully stick with them for the rest of their lives. It’s helpful to provide a positive place for youth that would normally be around negative, to come and be themselves. There are many forms of youth evangelism and each has its own effects on youth. There are so many forms of Y.E. but to list a few; community outreaches, music, hospital ministries, ongoing youth evangelism meetings, Youth Leadership Training, Prayer Conferences, Bible Conferences, Leadership Conferences, TBA or Teen Bible Academy, and youth involvement meetings are majorly successful ways of creating community. On the other hand you can say “let’s start doing some youth evangelism stuff” but you need money for any programs or activities you are considering if you plan on it being fun and meaningful. Community outreach is an awesome way to get your youth fired up because they can participate in the work. When they’re able to move around and have fun they end up opening themselves up. Just like plain old youth evangelism, there many forms of community outreach. The more frequently used form is cleaning or picking up trash in the community, however, there are other forms such as door to door ministries, surveys, literature evangelism etc. This brings people together and draws in new people from the community. This is why it’s called community outreach/ community building/ building community. This is a vital part of youth evangelism because if there isn’t community, there isn’t evangelism. They go hand in hand. Unfortunately there are a lot of problems with the ways people view youth, and this is one of the common motivating factors in actions youth take that end up causing problems. There is also a lot of hatred that comes from fellow youth who may not like or even despise youth that love God and act differently than they do. A perfect example would be what happened to one of my friends this past week. In fact I just got back from his funeral. Some guy just drove up to him and yelled at him to give him his weed. Now my friend never did drugs and he was the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet and he honestly answered that he didn’t have any weed. The guy shot him in his face and just drove away. By the time someone found him it was too late and they weren’t able to save him. It’s our job to reach out to those who despise Christ and show them a better way of living life. Once youth ministries are started they will continue to snowball and bring in more youth that eventually get excited and want to get baptized. They may want to help out with the ministries and do things to help and if they do, allow them to help. When their involved with such activities, they are better able to stay rooted in what they’ve gained from the meetings. It’s awesome to watch them blossom and grow in Christ’s love and share they’re experience with all of their friends, which ultimately brings more excited youth. The radically awesome reward for us is having more friends in heaven and that is way more than I could ask for and a great reward!!! |

That is the feild I want to go into. Except once I graduate, I am going to get my degree in psychology, then (the plan is to) start working with youth..
That report was very interesting.
