Good "starter songs"??

I play the guitar but I'm not very good at it and I wonder if anyone has any good songs that they started guitar on that they might be willing to tell me about?? It is just a thought...

Lord I Lift Your Name on High
Take My Life (Holiness)
You Are My King (Amazing Love)
Holy is the Lord
God of Wonders

Those few and many others are simple starter songs...sort of the "Louie Louie", "Wild Thing" and "Twist and Shout" of the CCM world.

this song involves technique that is pretty hard for a beginner. Plus strange/harder chord formations.

ditto.

Once you've got what's already listed down, try Dare You to Move by Switchfoot and some of the songs off of Chris Tomlin's new album to help you with strumming patterns.

Most stuff such as Kutless is pretty easy, if you know how to drop tune your guitar.

heh there's a easy version i did.... specially easy for beginnesrs....only the right hand pick/slap is a little challenging... but it'll take less than an hour lesson to get it

the chords are simple...basically just D, D/A, D/G for the intro n verse n chorus n G/E, G/F#, G, C/G n back to chorus progressions again

Um, hmm, simple. Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here is really easy. Start with that one.

Johnny Cash Songs.

if your lookin for just an easy riff to learn, then i'd say Smoke on the Water by Deep purple. or for a rythm part, go with AC/DC- Back in black

i'm surprised no one has mentioned these yet
