It's sad when churches compromise on fundemental truths simply to boost numbers.

Political correctness is a farce.

I was actually considering attending a PCUSA church after I move, but no longer.

Yeah, I had no idea that the PCUSA had become so liberal.

the episcopal church usa is just as bad. I'm hoping the UMC doesn't get that bad, a lot of my family are UMC.

I knew that the Episcopal church was heading in that direction, and I know the UMC was as well. But it came as a complete surprise to me that the PCUSA was even considering something like this.

I can tell you that at teh PCUSA church I attend, we won't be referring to the trinity as "mother, child, and whatever". It will remain "Father, Son, Holy Spirit".

I knew that it had its liberal elements, much like the ECUSA or the UMC, but I had no idea that it had folks so willing to openly assault the Trinity.

There's been a storm a-brewin' in the PCUSA for a long time now (since the last storm, a la PCA), and this might be the last straw.
