I got 'em here in Ballarat, Australia, from a place called Radmac. You'd probably have to pay a ton of shipping rates. I actually found a website once which sold them new in America for a reasonable price. You should snoop around online.

I'm just starting year 12 in high school (that's my last year before I go off to University).

I'm trying to get back in the habit of drawing, so today I sketched a quick still-life of my dad's old Zippo lighter:

We're very proud of my dad. Last year he quit smoking cold turkey after 35 years.

Hey, that looks like my brother's zippo . Nice sketch. I've always loved black and white pencil sketches. If I had any choice of some sort of art I'd love to be really good at, it'd be sketching .

And that's awesome 'bout your dad quitting after thirty-five years! Way better late than never!

I dunno, I think I'd choose to be great at painting if nothing else. It's one medium I haven't really dabbled in much. I may, though, start a little painting project soon. *excited*

Sure is! Now we have to get him off the beer (at least moderate his intake, anyway).

I drew Mr. Charlie Chaplin:

Forgive me, my printer/scanner played up on me so I had to take a photo of the drawing which skewed the proportion and tones. When I get the printer/scanner working again then I shall scan it, methinks.

I thought it was a photograph, until I read it.

Lovely, Meg.

Well, it's been a while, and I'm kicking myself for being so damn lazy. Today I'm uploading the picture of Kirrilee and her mum I finished two weeks ago:

I'm going to do some drawing tonight, I've determined. It may only be a quick still-life, but nonetheless, it will be a drawing.

It looks awesome What kinds of pastels/pastel brands did you use? (And I guess you used Prismacolor for the colored pencil).
Just saw that you answered my question in my other thread

Wow, the eyes look very good, and the proportions seem perfect . Great job!
