I have a girl problem

I have a girl problem
I have a Girl problem. I have been friends with her for 5 years but how do I tell her I don't want to be more than friends? I don't want to hurt her feelings and her not want be friends because of it. what should I do?

I'm going through the same thing.. isn't it funny how we are "experts" when it comes to someone elses problems, but when we are going through the same thing we don't know what to do?

As Murdock and Jay have implied.... awkwardness is almost impossible to avoid in this situation. And there is a measure of risk involved. Heck, I made Chris do the same thing... sometimes it may not work out, other times you may end up with a relationship.

The best way to say it? There is no best way. You just have to take the plunge...

Ahhhhhhh This is so hard I am not really looking for the best way but I good enough one that I dont feel like crap doing it.

she has invited me over to do stuff and some people can read girls eyes and how she talks to me it seems like it and she treats me diffrently than other people. She was dating a prev and she needed someone to talk to him she didnt ask me but someone had to talk to this guy so I talked to him and he ended up cheating on her(not because I talked to him). I don't know because I talked to him she thinks I wanna be more than friends but still she treats me diffrently than other people or she treats me diffrently because I did that for her.

That doesn't really establish any desire for change, though. That's your interpretation, but she hasn't said, "let's move on." I don't think you really need to say anything. A number of girls treat me that way- down to the point of me talking to their parents or their boyfriends. It's called "being a friend." If she brings it up, tell her. *shrug*
