| UPDATE! Okay, it has been a VERY long time since an update. Sorry about that. Well, back to the update.
As of 2 days ago, his eyes started bleeding again, and again he lost his sight. I'm having a differcult time with this all happening. Every time I think about it, or hear something about it, or just even hear something that makes me think about him I want to start crying. The bleeding happened at night when he was sleeping, so when he woke up the next day he couldn't see. But that day he had a doctors appointment, so my brother took him to the doctors appointment for his eyes, and weather he says it or not, we think the doctor saw something. But I'm having a hard time dealing with this happening over and over again. And he's doing worse with it. He can't stand being cooped up inside all day, not being able to watch tv, and his hearing isn't the best either, and his hearing aid is getting old and acting weird. (We're getting him a new one soon) But with his hearing and sight, he's frustrated cuz he can't hear the tv/watch it, or listen to radio very well.

Okay, I went to visit him like we (my bro and I) do every Sunday afternoon. And it was hard to make it through that 6 hours. And I almost made it. Up until he said one thing. "I hate being this way, I wish it never happened. I'm sorry". It's not his fault his eyes and hearing went bad. He's really having a tough time dealing with it. And he gets lonely a lot. Before dinner he said that he was able to make out shapes, but a few min before he said that he said his eyes just went black again. He was getting less than 2 inches away from a clock that is black and white, and he still couldn't make out a number, or even a bit of a number. It was harder than ever to say good-bye to him today because it's so frustrating for him. After we left the house and got into the car I just about lost it then too. I don't know why it's harder this time for me than it was last time, probably because I know it happened again, and probably will another time too. I just don't like seeing him this way, I never imagined that it would happen. Just a few years I thought everything was going to be fine.

| Okay, again an update. We've been getting a lot of help for him... Stuff to get him money, groceries, doctors appointments. That kinda stuff. Well, a lot of that stuff is getting accepted. And one thing that did get accepted is something to help him get surgery on his eyes to close up where it's bleeding a lot and he'll at least be able to see some things again. He wants to do it and his doctor wants him to do it. So he's probably going to get the surgery sometime, I'll keep an update on when. I don't know yet. But I just want it to go good when he finally does have it. They said the worst that could happen was he loses his sight for good. But that is VERY rare they said.. So please keep praying for him.
Thanks

| Okay, more news. My dad has a scheduled eye surgery for June 25th. He's going to the hospital that morning, and having the surgery that afternoon and staying over night till June 26th. He's also been having doctor's appointments to make sure he can handle the surgery because they're going to put him fully under. So far everything is going good, and his doctor is feeling confident about it. His doctor said that he has a 9 out of 10 chance that he'll get some sight back. So please PLEASE pray for him that this will go well. I really hope it does.
Also, I have some good news. He's been approved for disibility and he is now getting that to help him with some of his expenses and start to pay off some things. And for the surgery he has Medicaid, which will cut out the expense of the surgery.
That's all for now, but please pray for him that things will go well.

| Praying.
It might be hard but try to look for positive things about the situation.
Such as this might help him find God if he hasn't already and his spiritual wellbeing is more important than his phsical wellbeing after all isn't it? It also sound's like it is helping your family get closer ,am I right?
I hope it goes well. |

| I would normally close this due to resurrection of a dead thread, but perhaps Rachel would like to give us an update. How is your dad doing? |

| WOW!! Sorry it's been so long since an update has happened!! I'm so sorry guys!!!!
But here's as good as an update will get right now.
I just got back from his house today, and he seemed a little worried again. He's got a surgery on Tuesday, Dec. 4th. So any prayers would be greatly appreciated! This surgery will be for cateract surgery, and I will, as I hear them and I am on the computer, post things here. I don't know why I didn't keep this up there for so long. He's just a little worried about this one, but as far as I read the paperwork it should only take about 5-10 minutes, so he won't be put under, so those risks are lowered. The surgery is planned for 11:00 a.m. mountain time, though he has to be there at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning because they want to measure the cataract or something. I don't understand the whole process, but the doctors explained everything so I'm sure it'll be ok. But please pray for him during Tuesday, Dec. 4th. Thanks so much!!
MtlMom: Thanks for not closing this thread due to it being a dead thread. Sorry I didn't keep the updates up. I had gotten myself wrapped around so many things latley that I completly forgot about updating this. Sorry.
