#1 | | Guest | Need some deep, meaningful songs Does anyone know any good songs that are deep and meaningful. That almost brings tears to ur eyes when u hear it. I need to be uplifted and I think music is just a great way to do it. Maybe even some bible verses will be really helpful. Thanx a lot. Bye~ | |

| Try Jars of Clay...esp thier self-titled album. I find a lot of their songs really deep and "Liquid" and "Worlds Apart" and a couple others have made me cross. Also, Steven Curtic Chapman's "Speechless" album is good ("Dive" is the best!!!) and he has Bible references for all of his songs...which is very cool

| Ginny Owens "Own Me" (last song on CD)
Nichole Nordeman "Seasons" - I think that's the name of it??
Greg Long "In the Waiting"
These might not be too deep, but they really speak to my heart

| 'Let my words be few' either the Matt Redmann version or the Phillips, Craig & Dean version. Both are awesome.

That song brought me to tears one night. I was feeling really down and that song came on the radio. I could feel the Holy Spirit in the truck with me as I realized that all I have to do is let myself be swept away by the love of Jesus.

| I find "Worlds Apart" by JOC a great deeply spiritual song. Help me to submit myself to God.
Anothers are Ten Shekel Shirt's "Come & Fill This Place" and "Great". Both great songs.
just my 3 cents,

| Skillet "You Are My Hope"... after someone on these boards (I think Brent???) made a mix with clips from the news after the WTC attacks, this song hits me real deep everytime.

| Pretty much anything by Third Day for songs that connect. Matt Brouwer has some really great deep songs on Imagerical. Sonicflood's new Resonate cd has some great stuff also with scriptual references. The first time I heard the title cut "Resonate" I had to stop and just listen. The whole cd is very uplifting. |
