Sometimes I think that actors whom I would not normally find physically attractive to be hott simply because they are good at what they do. Take Phillip Seymour Hoffman for example. If he were just some guy I saw walking on the street I would not find him attractive, but since I think he's such a good actor I also think he's kind of a looker.

Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Speaking of hoffman's, Dustin Hoffman. Excellent work in movies like Rain Man, Hook, Death of a Salesman, but not that big on the looker scale.

I don't really know what to say bout this topic considering I'm a guy and most great actors are male. But I don't see too many female actors getting serious roles to show their talents. Julia Roberts is hot, and she can act. Same with Catherine Zeta Jones, Julianne Moore, and Jennifer Garner. They're all I can think of

I think that most of the really really great actors can basically do anything they want but specilize in what they feel comforitable in. Such as Jim Carry. He can and has done almost everything, but he does mainly comedy.

Julia Roberts makes me want to visit my grandmother's farm.

Pamela Anderson sucks at acting and most other parts of life but I just can't find the "whore" look appealing.

Drew Barrimore just annoys the crap out of me. Though I can't really tell if she's trying to annoy me or the person next to me...

Cameron Diaz constantly reminds me of all the ditzes in any of my classes. The ditz look really makes me want to cut a little square of paper, write, "how do you keep an idiot busy for hours... turn --->" on both sides and give it to the next ditz I see. Believe me, I have done that and it is satisfying, but not attractive. She also looks like a poster child for fighting world hunger. Sickly thin just doesn't cut it either.

Uma Turman- I can't quite pin it down as to why I find this woman so unnattractive. I think it's just about every part of her seems gross to me. Her nose just isn't right, her eyes are the wrong distance appart and are possibly a little crossed. Her mouth doesn't quite fit her face. She's not so thin that she looks unhealthy yet her body just doesn't seem right. I don't really care to stare long enough to figure out what it is. It's like she fell off the ugly tree and then found a really good plastic surgeon.

The red-haired girl from Buffy the Vampire slayer (don't care to look up her name) isn't physically unnattractive, yet her voice and manerisms make me want to kick myself in the face.

hmmm, might as well list guys as well.

Dustin Hoffman- Love his movies (well, many of them) but he does make me feel a lot better about my own appearances.

Orlando Bloom- Slap a wig on him and give him some lipstick and he might cut it as a pretty "female" actress but as a guy he just doesn't cut it. I liked Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Carribean, but let's not forget that it was his womanish charm that won him the spot as the elf and it was the spot as the elf that won him the spot as the blacksmith/pirate.

Russel Crowe- Come on, walk into any bar in town and bam, there he is. One beer guzzler happens to be able to keep his beer gut down (not that well I might add) and he makes it famous? Sounds like the "Piano Man" made a least one guy famous. Still, I liked

Samuel L. Jackson- looks kinda scary, actually. Bug-eyed and twitchy. Gotta love his movies though.

Tom Cruise- ... nevermind... He makes the cut, but come on, don't girls find a guy with brains attractive too? If brains attract you, then this guy is definately on the unattractive list.

hmm... That being said, I really don't find any male actors attractive. That being obvious since I'm a guy, but you've gotta wonder why girls find some guys attractive and girls have to wander why guys find some girls attractive.

Only a few people really annoy me. Like Hilary Duff. She can't act and she's not even a good singer. And then whats her face..... on that Who Wants to be a Millionare show..... she ticks me off to. And Simon Cowl is extreamly annoying. But some of the crap he says is funny. And then that other guy who is also a judge on American Idol. He's always saying the same thing: "So, whats up dawg, check it out" and other crap like that. Basically anyone on reality T.V. annoys me. Cause they're loud. And stupidish. And that is the only job they can get on T.V. cause they can't act.
