A trebuchet looks like this:
It is a type of catapault, a siege machine from the medieval days of yore. See the big lump at the bottom? That is a counterweight. At the very tippy top is where you put what you want to launch. Here is another picture, a technical drawing:
The upper left shows what a trebuchet might look like if it were loaded. The counterweight is up in the air and the thing you want to launch is on the other end. The counterweight is being held in place by a bar, or maybe rope: something that keeps it from falling. You take away that thing, the counterweight goes down, the object you want to hurl flies. Weeee. |

| last night we watched a thing on tv about muscle cars which was really cool. i was looking at the engine sizes of some of the cars and some of the cars have engine sizes like 350, 396, 427 but noticed that the one car had a 308 engine. now what i think is so about this is our Dodge conversion van has a 318 engine, which i guess means that it has a more powerful engine than some muscle cars. . our neighbors across the street have there grandkids visting for a couple days and we all went for a short bike ride yesterday which was fun.

| well yesterday was exciting, in a bad way. my brother and i were at youth group throwing a football with some of the other kids. my brother run to get the ball which had been dropped, but one of the other kids was running to get it also. to make a long story short my brother hit his forhead on the other kids knee and ended up having to go to the hospitel to get stiches (9 stiches).
